At Body Joy Studio, you move with awareness, joy and expression. In Pilates, Barre and Belly Dance, you work on strength, flexibility and body awareness in a way that suits your body.
Classes are taught in small groups of up to 10 participants. This allows room for personal attention, while you also experience the support, energy and warmth of moving together in a group.
This personal and welcoming atmosphere is very important to me. My name is Jolanda, and with many years of experience as a dancer and movement teacher, I would love to guide you in a way that is careful, positive and accessible.
About Jolanda
For as long as I can remember, dance and movement have been at the heart of my life. As a child, I started with ballet. Later, I made dance my profession and studied at the Rotterdam Dance Academy, now Codarts, and at Utrecht University, specialising in dance and dramaturgy.
Since 2003, I have been teaching in my own dance studio. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of guiding many students in dance, movement and body awareness. My background is in ballet, modern dance and Belly Dance, in which I trained and performed internationally.
At Body Joy Studio, my long journey in dance and movement comes together. Pilates, Barre and Belly Dance complement one another beautifully: Pilates brings strength and awareness, Barre brings energy and elegance, and Belly Dance invites expression, rhythm and freedom.
My classes are careful and precise, but always taught with warmth, joy and attention to your own starting point. You do not need to be strong, flexible or experienced to begin. I look forward to welcoming you to the studio.
